Thank you to everyone who donated for the Great Give Back! All items from the supply drive and money from Pennies for Pets were donated to Almost Home Animal Rescue. We raised a total of $185! And here are the great items we collected:

Indoor Concert South Country String Band Friday, November 18, 7:00 - 8:30 PM

We are happy to welcome the South Country String Band for their first library show. Greg Smith, Larry Sribnick, and Hank Stone are good friends and fine local musicians who favor local venues. SCSB plays an eclectic mix of styles (pop, folk, and traditional) and original tunes with engaging harmonies. Audience participation is encouraged.

Winter Warmth Collection Now through December 1 Drop-off box in the Children's Department We are collecting NEW gloves, mittens, scarves, hats, earmuffs, and socks
for local families in need.

Items will be distributed by the Bellport Hagerman East Patchogue Alliance.

De-Stress with a Dog Wednesday, November 16 & Tuesday, November 22 4:30 - 5:30 PM, in the Children's Area The holiday season can be stressful or lonely, so we've invited a therapy dog to the library. No registration, all ages. Pet some of your stress away!

Our Black Friday Media Sale begins Monday, November 21, in the main hallway. $1 per item! DVDs, CDs, audio books, books, & cookbooks for Thanksgiving recipe ideas.

Supplies are still low in our Give or Take Food Pantry Please help us help your neighbors in need. We will very gratefully accept donations in the bin in our lobby of non-perishable food to help re-stock the pantry. Thank you for your generosity!

The Library offers free passes to select museums on Long Island & in NYC. We also provide access to discounted tickets to Long Island Aquarium & the Bronx Zoo.

Each game is available to the first twenty participants, and closes at 9:00 PM on the last day.

Passport Services We serve first-time applicants, minor applicants, adult applicants whose most recent passport was issued as a minor, and applicants who have lost their passports.
|

Hours are by appointment only. You may also call us at 631-286-0818 x1. Not included in our service: renewing a passport. Printed forms are available by the Reference Desk.

Do you or a friend need help finding resources to regain stability in life? Angie and Kate are our social work interns from Stony Brook University. They can help with information, referrals, and paperwork for housing, treatment, social services, unemployment, food pantries, and more.

South Country Library patrons may renew their card or apply for a new one online. Images of photo ID & address verification are required. Or visit our Patron Services desk at the front of the library for the same service.

Services for Veterans and Job-Seekers
|
|
Helps veterans and their families navigate the VA bureaucracy, provides academic tutoring, and assists with employment transition.
|
Provides various tools to help with every step of the job search including résumé assistance, interview preparation, and career planning.
|
|
Both above services provide live virtual assistance every day from 2:00 - 11:00 PM. A current library card is required.
