Weekly Round-Up
June 13, 2020
Building community by sharing the wonders of learning, creating and connecting with one another.

Hello South Country Community,

Exciting news -- curbside service begins this Monday, and our bookdrop will also be open for returns. Read more below, and don't miss all the great programs coming up, including programs for teens.

This week, Staying Stable features upcoming programs for our seniors and caretakers of those with dementia/Alzheimer's. Also, hurricane season is upon us -- SAMHSA has collected resources for you to learn how to prepare.

In Learning & Leisure, check our our collection of children’s books (available for curbside pickup) on the fight for racial equality, and ebooks & audiobooks on Libby celebrating Pride month. Plus another week of trivia and Fantastic Finds on Libby, and two great virtual programs from our neighbors at CEED!

Stay cool, and if you use the curbside service, we'll see you soon!

What does this mean?
While you still cannot enter the building, our bookdrop will be open to accept returns and we will begin providing contactless curbside service.
How does Curbside Pickup work?
You may call the library at 631-286-0818 to request books, and we will reserve a curbside pickup date/time for you. When you arrive, please park in the Curbside Pickup parking spot and call the library. Library staff will be wearing face masks when delivering items to your vehicle and we kindly request that you wear a mask as well at that time.

For more details, and if you would like to request items on your own from your computer/mobile device, please click here for our Curbside Pickup information page.

In case you missed it...the library has a mobile app!
Download the app for quick & easy access to library info & services. You can view our program calendar and search the library catalog, and enter your library account info to place holds, see your reading history, and more!

June is Pride Month

Recent events have highlighted how important equality is and how deeply prejudice can effect those of a different race, sex or orientation. We are proud to be a safe space for everyone, where you can find materials on all subjects for all people, where you can ask questions and be treated with respect no matter what, and where you can find refuge from a world that can often be cruel.
